I Hope She Never Finds This
Chapter 1: A Shy Boy Enters High School
It was the beginning of the 9th standard.
I was too shy, introverted, and scared because I had finally reached high school.
Everyone around me kept saying,
“Now you are grown up.”
“Focus on studies.”
“Give your best.”
And yes, I did give my best.
But not in books.
Not in exams.
Not in notebooks made of paper.
I gave my best in the most beautiful chapter of life — LOVE.
Chapter 2: A Difficult Past
Till 8th standard, I hated school.
And not just a little.
I hated it a lot.
Because nothing about school felt good to me.
In the name of friends, I got a group of bullies.
They teased me.
Sometimes they beat me for no reason.
They disturbed my peace every day.
I was innocent.
I was childish.
And they were rough, mature, and dominating.
Maybe that is why they treated me like that.
And teachers?
They were very strict.
So strict that even teachers of 11th–12th looked soft in front of them.
They especially targeted me because:
- I stayed quiet
- I never answered
- I never raised my voice
- I was weak in my studies
So I thought…
The 9th standard will also be a nightmare.
But God had different plans.
Chapter 3: Two Unexpected Friends
In the 9th standard, I met two boys.
At first, I thought they were bullies too.
Because yes, they teased me in the beginning.
But slowly…
They became my best friends.
They supported me.
They protected me.
They stood by me.
They were the reason my school life became comfortable.
For the first time, I started enjoying school.
I started going to school not for studies…
But for happiness.
For laughter.
For friendship.
Chapter 4: The Entry of “Her”
Everything was going fine.
Until…
She entered my life.
A cute.
Adorable.
Beautiful girl.
She stole my heart in one second.
And I fell in love for the first time.
Without realizing.
Without planning.
Without control.
Chapter 5: The First Hint
One afternoon, I was returning home with my two friends.
We were talking about crushes.
Randomly.
Jokingly.
Casually.
But for me…
It was serious.
Then they asked:
“Do you like someone in class?”
I blushed.
And said,
“No, not at all.”
But inside…
I was screaming her name.
I wanted them to ask again.
I wanted to talk about her.
One of my friends noticed me looking at her in class.
So he teased me:
“So you don’t like the girl you were staring at today?”
I blushed even more.
My heart started racing.
Still, I said,
“No.”
But my face told the truth.
Chapter 6: My Family Knows Something Is Wrong
That day, I reached home smiling.
Trying to hide it.
Failing badly.
My mother noticed.
At lunch, everyone noticed.
Finally, my father asked:
“Why are you smiling so much?”
Silence.
I said,
“Nothing. I like the food.”
He said,
“You don’t smile like this normally.”
Then he asked,
“Is there any girl in your life?”
I turned red.
“No, Dad.”
I ran to my room.
Lie on my bed.
Still thinking about her.
Still smiling.
Even while sleeping.
My father saw me later.
He didn’t ask anything.
He just smiled.
Maybe he understood.
Chapter 7: Years of Silent Love
Days passed.
Months passed.
I saw her every day.
Blushed every day.
Smiled every day.
But never talked.
Never approached.
Never confessed.
We reached the 10th standard.
Friends told me,
“Go and tell her.”
I didn’t.
After 10th grade, many students changed schools.
I stayed.
Because I believed…
She would stay too.
And she did.
Chapter 8: Distance in 11th Standard
In the 11th standard, we were in different streams.
Different classes.
Different worlds.
I didn’t see her for months.
I became dull.
Sad.
Empty.
Then one day…
I saw her again.
Same school.
Different class.
My heart felt alive.
I followed her on social media.
Posted stories.
Indirect hints.
She noticed.
She understood.
Chapter 9: The First Message
At the end of the 11th standard…
She texted me.
For the first time.
“Hey, do you like me or what? 🤔”
My heart almost jumped out.
I was nervous.
I replied,
“No, not at all.”
Worst decision.
But from that day…
We started talking.
As friends.
Online, we talked.
In school, she ignored me.
Pretended we never talked.
It felt weird.
But I ignored it.
Because I loved her.
Chapter 10: The Final Confession
12th standard came.
No more school life.
No more coming back.
Different colleges.
Different cities.
Different futures.
So I decided…
Now or never.
I confessed.
On text.
Days passed.
No reply.
She saw it.
Ignored it.
Stopped talking.
Then one day…
She replied.
She said:
“I already have a boyfriend.”
“I knew you loved me one-sided.”
“You can find someone better.”
That was it.
Chapter 11: After the Goodbye
That night changed everything.
It broke me.
It taught me.
It shaped me.
Four months have passed.
I haven’t met anyone new.
I still think…
I will never love like that again.
But maybe…
If I fall again…
The second time will be better.
Stronger.
Healthier.
And maybe…
I will give love a second chance.
Final Words
This is not just a love story.
This is a story of:
- Shyness
- Fear
- Silence
- Waiting
- Hope
- Loss
- Growth
And learning that sometimes…
The people we love the most…
These are the ones we never end up with.
